It's hard to believe that it's August 1st, and school starts in five days! We had registration last night, and we have it again tomorrow night. I'm really looking forward to having my whole class together on Monday. It's going to be a great year!
Here are a few pictures of our classroom. Thanks to pinterest and lots of free time during the summer, I was able to do several fun projects for my classroom.
I am very excited to have cubbies (covered in black, polka dot fabric) and several shelves for storage (covered with a black sheet).
We have a great view of the playground, and we will get lots of afternoon sunshine!
This is my library area and my CAFE/FACE board. I decided to use FACE this year because I wanted to use the cute, kid faces that I had. :) If you don't know what this is, you need to check it out at: http://www.thedailycafe.com/public/department62.cfm
We will meet on the carpet for whole group, teaching time, while using the SMARTboard and the polka dot "G.O. Charts."
This is the area that I will meet with small groups, and you can also see the Word Wall in the background.
The posters on the back wall have sign language on them that we will use in class for signs such as: restroom, question, volunteers, etc. They are from Rick Morris' website: http://www.newmanagement.com. He spoke at a professional development that our county had, and he was FABULOUS!!
I hope you have enjoyed the classroom tour. I'm looking forward to blogging more about the great school year of 2012-2013!!
